Due to its low RPM, the patented multistage permanent magnet synchronous generator allows mechanical losses to be reduced, resulting in increased performance.
The absence of the gearbox reduces the number of rotational components thus supporting the mechanical simplicity of the system.
This contributes to higher efficiency and reliability of the wind turbine over time, minimizing all maintenance activities and guaranteeing maximum profitability of the plant.

The generator of an ENERWIND turbine is the result of the collaboration between the company and the Polytechnic of Milan.

The electromagnetic principle of the ENERWIND generator allows the plant to function even in the event of irregularities in some of the system components. The high efficiency of the generator at all rotational speeds, a control capable of handling the number of variable rotations and the variations of blade pitch guarantee a high yield from the generator even with a partial load.
The special formation of the concentrated stator winding coils allows for a largely sinusoidal waveform and a very low level of harmonic distortion. The permanent magnet excitation eliminates the field excitation promoting energy efficiency. The temperature of the generator is always maintained well below the resistance values of the insulating materials and consequently there is no need for forced ventilation circuits.
